In November 2012—National Native American Heritage Month—the FBI’s Detroit office recently hosted an event to celebrate Native American culture. Guests included retired Tribal Judge Ronald G. Douglas, a University of Michigan Law School graduate and former trial judge for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal Court and for the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. He also served a 12-year terms as a Justice of the Court of Appeals of the Grand Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. After this remarks, the judge (shown above, center) was presented with a certificate of appreciation.
