The Dallas Division honors Mr. David A. Dean, co-chairman of the North Texas Crime Commission (NTCC), for bringing criminal justice issues to the attention of the state’s legislature and for supporting community-based crime prevention programs.

The NTCC is a 64-year-old organization working to make North Texas safer through volunteers from the community, law enforcement, corporate partners, and civic and educational institutions. Under Mr. Dean’s leadership, NTCC has created three new committees: the Cyber Crime Committee, the Membership Development Committee, and the Legislative Committee.

The Cyber Crime Committee was created in response to the growing number of cyber attacks, and the growing number of cyber crime victims.

The Membership Development Committee has helped to increase NTCC membership by more than 30 percent.

The Legislative Committee hosts numerous activities, including the Epic–Border Mission Delegation, annual missions to Washington, D.C. (including a visit with executive management of the FBI), monthly trips to Austin to encourage elected officials’ support for law enforcement, and the McAllen–Border Mission, to observe firsthand the border crisis.
