The Boston Division honors Mr. James Geraghty, executive director of Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management and an FBI Citizens Academy graduate.

Mr. Geraghty is highly successful, but his greatest passion is working with disadvantaged youth. At any given time, he is mentoring a number of young people in the Boston area, helping to guide them down the right path by giving advice and teaching practical skills. He meets with them after work or for lunch, and often they come to his office.

Mr. Geraghty is on the board of directors at the Robert F. Kennedy Children Action Corps (RFK Action Corps). The RFK Action Corps runs a number of programs and services for at-risk children and families, including community-wide initiatives, residential treatment, and juvenile justice programs. Mr. Geraghty cares deeply about helping those who are less fortunate, and he was drawn to the RFK Action Corps because of its commitment to social justice.

Mr. Geraghty was recently honored by Get Konnected, a professional and social multi-cultural networking group, as a “Diverse Game Changer: White Men Who Can Jump.” He was one of 12 leaders honored for his commitment to Boston’s diversity and for his tireless work in mentoring at-risk youth.
