The Omaha Division honors Kim Wolfe, owner and founder of Midwest Medical Transport Company and an active community leader and volunteer for organizations supporting children and the elderly facing life-threatening diseases.

As the owner of Nebraska’s largest privately owned ambulance service, Mr. Wolfe established a “Home for the Holidays” program providing free round-trip ambulance and wheelchair transports statewide on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Through this program, Mr. Wolfe unites families that may otherwise not have the means to pay for a loved one’s medical transports. An avid Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan, Mr. Wolfe acquired a Husker Helicopter as part of his fleet and donates his time and costs associated with flying patients and charity auction winners in his helicopter on tours across Nebraska.

Mr. Wolfe was a key player in the Division’s first “Agent for a Day” celebration for three young Nebraska Husker fans who are battling cancer. After being sworn in by the special agent in charge, the boys took flight in Mr. Wolfe’s Husker Helicopter and flew across Omaha with several Cornhusker football players present to cheer them on.
