Waveform display of the program #2-restored version of the 11.025 kHz / 16-bit multiple sine wave signal depicted in Figure 3a, after it had been clipped to +12 decibels. Time is on the horizontal axis moving from left to right over 15.0 milliseconds, and amplitude is on the vertical axis. The waveform of this version more closely resembles that of the original, unclipped signal depicted in Figure 3a than does the program #1-restored version depicted in Figure 3b. However, differences still exist, indicating that the restoration was not transparent.
