GC / MS Supervisor

Qualifications include the following:
- MS or PhD in a science
- At least three years' clinical laboratory experience
- GC/MS experience
- Proven success in leadership roles
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency in use of MS Office (including Excel)
- Familiarity with modern instrumental data systems (ChemStation, Turbochrom)
Responsibilities include the following:
- Providing leadership for personnel and for the performance and development of analytical methods of drug detection and quantitation in biological specimens
- Providing daily supervision of more than ten laboratory analysts; instrumentation performance; technical oversight of ongoing operation; and all development, validation, and improvement activities of the department
- Maintaining the quality of results released and proper performance of all laboratory procedures in each department
