Perkins

Kevin L. Perkins – Assistant Director, Criminal Investigative Division

Mr. Perkins was born in 1960 and spent much of his youth in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before attending high school in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1982 from Baylor University, Waco, Texas. Following graduation he pursued a career in public accounting with an international accounting firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Perkins began his career as an FBI Special Agent in January 1986 and has served in operational and investigative positions within the Kansas City and Baltimore field offices focusing extensively on White Collar Crime and Public Corruption. He has also held managerial assignments within the Philadelphia and Baltimore field offices as well as the Criminal Investigative, Inspection, and Finance divisions of FBI Headquarters.

Prior to being named Assistant Director and Chief Financial Officer in March 2006, Mr. Perkins served as the Special Agent in Charge of the Baltimore field office where he was responsible for FBI operations within the states of Maryland and Delaware.

On February 16, 2006, Mr. Perkins was named Assistant Director for the Finance Division. Mr. Perkins reported to the Finance Division on March 13, 2006.

Director Mueller named Mr. Perkins as AD for Inspection Division on April 17, 2007, and then in June of 2009 appointed him Assistant Director of the Criminal Investigative Division.
